The photos app allows you to browse JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, WBMP files on your TiVo DVR using the file system folders on your computer or an iPhoto album database

The photo viewer allows you to browse photos using a thumbnail grid view.

The photos app will display the photo date details extracted from the file header information.

The photo viewer can be configured to use 33 slideshow effects including wipes, fades and transitions in various directions.

The photo viewer allows a user to play music during the slideshows. To pick music use either the music or organizer apps. While in either of these apps, select a folder and press the 1 button. All of the tracks in that folder will be added to the jukebox playlist. In the photos app, when the slideshow starts, press the PLAY button. Use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons to change the music track.

Configuration

Title: The title of the app.
Share: Allow the app to be shared .
Use safe viewing area: Check to specify that photos should fit within the safe viewing area of the TV. Use this options if your photos appear go outside of the visible screen.
Random play folders: Enable random play of photos when playing folders.
Slideshow Effects: The list of available transitions between photos during a slideshow.
Display Time: The time in seconds the photo should be displayed during a slideshow.
Transition Time: The time in seconds for the transition effect between photos in a slideshow.
Import iPhoto album: select to enable iPhoto Album parsing
iPhoto Album Data File: path to an  iPhoto AlbumData.xml
Name: The name of the directory of image files.
Path: The path of the directory of image files. JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP and WBMP formats are supported.
